Announcements:

Welcome to a New Year and New Semester! Some news:

1) The Spring 2010 Membership Drive is ON, and it will run through the first week of March. Induction Ceremony date to be announced soon.

2) Three lucky SKD members will attend the all-expenses paid trip to the national Sigma Tau Delta/ Sigma Kappa Delta conference, over Spring Break. The deadline to reserve a spot is February 21, 2010. More details as they develop.

3) SKD will no longer hold its literary/photography contests during the Spring semesters; however, ANY Eastfield College student can enter Eastfield's League for Innovation Literary Contest, as well as enter submissions to The Alternative arts & literary journal this semester -- deadline for both is February 26, 2010.

4) Eastfield will be holding its Arts & Literary Festival, April 12-16. Go by the Student Life office (C-141) to volunteer and/or participate in this week-long event, sponsored by the Arts, Language, and Literature Division -- remember: the more SKD members volunteer at Student Life events, the more we can petition for Student Government MONEY! :-)

5) Any ideas for fundraising? How about a Bake Sale? Please email your chapter officers or advisoris if you would like to host a Bake Sale (usually a table reserved in the Pit).
